May 14, 2022 – We deeply mourn the untimely demise of Shri Sanjay bhai Shah of KBS Diamonds.
Sanjay bhai Shah was the Convener of the Diamond Panel Committee of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), an active member of GJEPC’s Committee of Administration (COA), a board member of the World Diamond Council (WDC) and of the International Diamond Manufacturing Association (IDMA).
He was also a leading member of GJEPC’s Kimberley Process core team and was actively involved with several other initiatives of the GJEPC for the last six years.
He will forever stay in our hearts. Our condolences to his family and loved ones.
We pray that his noble soul may rest in eternal peace.

“Sanjay Shah’s passing has come as a shock to all of us. He was giant of a man, physically and spiritually. I had the honor of spending many hours of quality time during meetings and, fortunately, also during off-hours and at social events. Typically, in industry meetings, Sanjay would hold back and wait to speak last. After he had pondered the issues and heard all the questions, answers, and opinions, he would round up the topic at hand with his calm, deep and sonorous voice, and offer solutions.
His personality, presence, influence, and gracious demeanor will be missed., May his memory be a blessing to his family and to all who cherished him.
